Pittock Mansion

A French Renaissance-style château, Pittock Mansion is a grandeur mansion located in the West Hills of the city Portland. Originally, it was built in 1914 as a private residence of Henry Pittock (an English-born American pioneer) and his wife, Georgina. This mansion has a total of 46 rooms situated on 46 acres of land and modeled on an eclectic collection of styles including Victorian and French Renaissance architecture. The main features of the house are its indirect lighting, central vacuum system, intercoms, and a walk-in refrigerator. The mansion has been a community landmark since 1965 after it was being purchased by the City of Portland. It has also made several appearances in many films including First Love, The Haunting of Sarah Hardy, and others.
